Important Announcement for CS Executive & Professional Student regarding relaxation on procedural issue of Oral Coaching & Response Sheet

Council of Institute has decided to omit the requirement of submission of coaching completion certificate with immediate effect for appearing in CS Executive / Professional Programme Examinations

This would make students eligible for enrolment to Executive and Professional Programme examinations after expiry of six months or nine months as the case may be, from the date of registration to the respective programme.

Henceforth, students of Executive Programme and Professional Programme are not required to:

a. submit response sheets to test papers on various subjects to the Institute under Postal Tuition Scheme, or
b. obtain coaching completion certificate from the Institute or from Class Room Teaching Centres of the Institute, or

c. submit coaching completion certificate for enrollment to examinations of Executive and Professional Programmes.

Launch of e-Student Induction Program (e-SIP)



The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) in collaboration with GurukulOnline Learning Solutions (GOLS) Pvt. Ltd. has come up with an initiative to launch e-SIP for students. Eligible students can now avail this opportunity to complete their SIP using eLearning. The e-SIP is an interactive Video-based training (VBT) with lessons delivered over the internet. Hence there is no need of physical presence of students at the venue*.


ELIGIBILITY
All students who have registered for the Executive Program on or after 1st September 2009 and are yet to complete the SIP.

MODALITIES FOR THE COURSE
1.
Registration: Eligible Students will be required to first register at the ICSI e-learning portalhttp://elearning.icsi.edu and fill in all the required details correctly.
2.
Course Access: On successful payment of fees they can log onto the e-learning portal using the user id and password provided to them at any time convenient to them and completes the program from their own office or residence. The course would be available 24X7.
3.
Course Duration :


a.
Minimum of 7 days

b.
Access will be given to a maximum of 2 modules / Unit per day (6 hrs. per day).

c.
The student has to start the course within 14 days of activation of his/her user id and password, which happens after the student receives course activation email from GOLS.

d.
Student is expected to complete the course within 30 days of the first login.

e.
Student would be given sequential access to topics of the course which they have to complete before getting access to the next topic.
4.
Course Completion:


a.
A student has to study diligently and complete all the topics allocated in the course. The system will automatically mark attendance of the topic/course on completion of the respective topic or course.

b.
At the end of each topic, there would be an online assessment which needs to be attempted and completed by the student.

c.
During the course, there would be 3 Mastery Tests, which a student needs to attempt and secure the minimum prescribed marks for considering him/her for successful course completion. The test/s consists of multiple choice objective questions.

d.
On successful completion of the entire course and Mastery Test as outlined above, the student would be sent an online Course Completion Certificate.

Registration in CS After getting Admit card of Required Exam (i.e. 12th or B.com as Case May Be)


Provisional »

  • Meaning : Under terms not final or fully worked out or agreed upon.
  • Synonyms : Temporary, Interim, Conditional, Makeshift, Short-term, Impermanent


What is Provisional Registration?

A provisional registration is a registration that is temporary and which would be regularised on fulfilling certain conditions in the future. The registration would be canceled if the conditions required are not met within the prescribed time limit.
Provisional Registration enables you to register for the course without having to wait for the results of the qualifying examination.


Who can register Provisionally?

Students who have appeared or have enrolled themselves for appearing at the examination that would enable them to be eligible for registration (if passing/getting through the same) i.e. the 10 + 2 or equivalent examination, can register for the course provisionally, if they are confident of getting through the said examination.
The student registering provisionally has to provide proof of having appeared or having enrolled for the examination (a photo copy of the hall ticket).


Procedure for Provisional Registration

The procedure for registering provisionally is the same as that for Regular Registration.
The application for registration is the same as the one used for regular registration.
The difference being that, a candidates appends a copy of the examination hall ticket for provisional registration instead of a copy of the marks sheet of the qualifying examination.

  • Students are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active till the completion of the exam / certification process. This email-id will be used for communication by the testing and certification agency.
